America celebrates National Pizza Day every year on February 9. We have so many styles of pizza to love—Sicilian, thin crust, deep dish, stuffed crust pizza or stuffed meat lover’s pizza, which I love to get at Corrado’s Pizza at the Coventry Mall. In honor of National Pizza Day, free pizza is out there if you just know where to look. Here are some places you can score discounted pizza!
Locally, we’ve enjoyed a slice of free pizza at Amore Pizza & Pasta in Pottstown, PA on the first day of Spring (March 20). (Be sure to check out our other 1st Day of Spring Freebies!)
Finding Free Pizza on National Pizza Day
Your biggest advantage in finding free pizza on National Pizza Day—February 9, 2020—is going to be leveraging the power of social media. Free pizza can be tough to find, but when you do find it, pizza’s never tasted so good. Stay tuned to your favorite local pizza places on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You may have some good luck finding one of your local favorites giving out National Pizza Day free pizza slices. Stay tuned to this page because I will update as I find out about it!
Finding Cheap Pizza
In the past, major pizza chain restaurants have offered National Pizza Day deals. In 2019, pizza promos came from Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Little Caesar’s, and Chuck E. Cheese’s, along with Blaze Pizza, Cici’s, Pilot Flying J, and Toppers Pizza. Hungry Howie’s, Papa Gino’s, Papa Murphy’s, Pizza Patron, Real Good Food Company, Round Table Pizza, Caulipower, Fresh Brothers, Georgio’s Pizza, and Mazzio’s Italian Eatery also offered pizza deals last year for National Pizza Day. IHOP even jumped into the fun with it’s “Pancizza” – pizza-sized pancakes!
These pizzerias did not offer National Pizza Day free pizza, but instead deals on pizza during that time frame. I will share as many National Pizza Day discounts as I find them. My goal is to uncover at least a few places that are offering FREE pizza, if any do.

National Cheese Pizza Day
National Cheese Pizza Day delights pizza lovers across the country on September 5 each year. Celebrate cheese and the diverse flavor profiles you can achieve when making your own pizza at home. Go topping-less for a true celebration of National Cheese Pizza Day.
Last year, various pizza restaurants offered National Cheese Pizza Day specials for free pizza or cheap pizza. Some of the key pizza players included Marco’s Pizza, Hungry Howie’s, Giordano’s, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Papa Murphy’s, Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, Slice, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Grimaldi’s, MOD pizza, and &pizza. Delivery apps like Waitr, Bite Squad, and Instacart also participated with offers of their own for National Cheese Pizza Day last year. I’ll be sure to add deals as I learn of them! National Pepperoni Pizza Day
One of the all-time favorite pizza toppings, National Pepperoni Pizza Day aims to please. This pizza holiday doesn’t always pack as big of a punch with promotions, but you can expect to find a few National Pepperoni Pizza Day specials out there come September 20. Previous participants have included Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Blaze Pizza, Cici’s Pizza, Domino’s, Grimaldi’s, Hungry Howie’s, Jet’s Pizza, Marco’s Pizza, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Papa Murphy’s, Pie Five Pizza, Pieology, Pizza Inn, Round Table Pizza, Slice, and Villa Italian Kitchen, to name a few.
National Pizza Week
Finally, National Pizza Week kicks off the second Sunday in January. Cheap pizza deals delighted pizza lovers with Domino’s, Marco’s Pizza, Papa John’s, Hungry Howie’s, Papa Murphy’s, Little Caesar’s, Papa Gino’s, Fresh Brothers, BlackJack Pizza, Blaze Pizza, MOD Pizza, and more.
National Pizza Month
October is named National Pizza Month and it’s a good time to watch for foodie freebies. In 2019, many great pizza retailers got in on the fun and served up some great deals for National Pizza Month. Free pizza from California Pizza Kitchen’s take and bake selection (in partnership with GrubHub) was a huge hit.
It may be starting to sound like a broken record—make that a symphony of music to your pizza-loving ears… Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Hungry Howie’s are also in on the action for National Pizza Month deals. More to come when we get closer to October!

National Pizza Day specials aren’t the only way to celebrate your love of pizza! Try these other fun and unique ways to celebrate.
- Search online for “pizza day specials near me.” Check Google, Facebook, and other social media outlets.
- Check your promotional emails. Search your email for any pizza service you’ve ever subscribed to or used for online ordering and check for discounts.
- Have your own DIY pizza party! Pick out a pizza stone and bake up your own favorite flavor of pizza at home.
- Host a Pizza Potluck! Invite your friends to come over for a pizza party where everyone brings their favorite pie or a unique one to try.
