For the second year in a row, it’s going to be another rainy Mother’s Day. Luckily last year our family went to see the Lombardi Trophy. It was a great day at the Home of the Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field. We got our pictures taken with the Super Bowl trophy and then went out to Nifty Fifty’s for burgers and shakes. They gave me a free flower and it was pretty much a perfect day. I’m feeling a little less optimistic about Mother’s Day 2019. This year the weather looks pretty terrible—cold with a high of 52 and more rain. So, I’ve been scouring all over the web to find indoor Mother’s Day activities to enjoy on a rainy day.
Most of the time, parents go to carnivals to make their kids happy. Kids go to carnivals to ride all the rides, play all the games, and eat all the junk food. I am totally down with funnel cake, cotton candy, and ice cream, but c’mon, we adults know there’s more to a Friday or Saturday night than a cup of cheese fries. That’s why I’ve compiled this list of local outdoor beer garden carnivals and kid-friendly festivals for your convenience.

It gets you through the door and likely keeps you coming back. So, if you aren’t signed up for emails and loyalty programs, you’re definitely missing out. Signing up takes only a couple of minutes and offers big rewards, sometimes immediate ones! Check out this list of the best birthday rewards you and your family or friends can enjoy.

While researching Easter egg hunts for kids, I pleasantly surprised myself finding a few adult Easter egg hunt events in our area. Easter egg hunts with beer. Easter egg hunts with wine. Adult Easter egg hunts with gift certificates, and lottery tickets, and of course, grand prizes. The more I found, the more I realized I really need this in my life. Don’t you? I mean, don’t we all? Shouldn’t we remember what it feels like to be a kid again, at least every once in a while?
